The Fool-Proof Formula For Finding Your Niche
Sometimes it can be difficult to figure out the niche that you fit in professionally. In order to simplify that process consider the following formula:
Your target audience + your personality + your specialty = your niche.
- Your target audience is your market, these are the types of clients that you should be going after.
- Your personality in this instance is not only defined by who you are but also what you're willing to do in terms of your practice.
- Your specialty is the area of law that you consider to be your expertise.
- Your final niche should be a clear combination of these things, a single sentence that encompasses who you are as a lawyer.
If you find that you're unsure about any of the individual elements, that's okay. It may take you a day or two or even a couple of weeks for you to be able to adequately address this formula in order to find your own niche. Take whatever time that you need as an individual until you have an answer that your comfortable committing to, one that sounds authentic and one that will be possible for you to fill.
