What Outlets are Right for You?
It may be your dream to see your practice mentioned on a national news show or for your article to run in a major magazine but you need to think about how realistic those goals are.
Additionally, you need to consider how press may impact your practice. If you're off on a ten city tour set to take the better part of two weeks to promote your new book could your practice survive in your absence? It probably could if you have a limited number of clients and aren't required to appear in court. But if you have a full caseload and little free time it may be better for you to do a one night or weekend book signing at your local bookstore.
It's highly important that you weigh what you want against what's best for your practice and make sure that your public relations efforts reflect a happy medium of the two.
